My name is Charlotte Brumbach and I am the school nurse at Due West.  I have been a registered nurse for 21 years, and am starting my 9th year here at Due West.  I provide limited medical care for the students while they are at school.  I administer medication (provided by parent/guardian) and treatments as ordered by physicians and requested by parents during the school day to students as well as care for their injuries and illnesses.  I strive to keep Due West healthy by monitoring outbreaks of illnesses/conditions (lice, chicken pox, colds, flu, strep, pink eye, etc.) and by reminding students daily about the importance of “germ etiquette” and good hand washing.   My scope of care is guided by Cobb County School District’s policies and procedures.   I also serve as a resource for staff, parents and students regarding their health issues.  If you ever have any questions or concerns regarding the health of your child please let me know.  I am here to help in any way I can.

Due West is NOW a Heart Safe School
As with all Cobb County Schools, Due West has an AED (Automated External Defibrilator).  It is located on the wall outside the clinic.  We have a First Responder Team who has been trained in CPR/AED use should there be a medical emergency at school.
